HEALTH MATTERS WITH DR NIC RUSHMAN
No tread left after Covid?
WE’VE been through a lot over the last couple of years. Covid has not gone away – but we are learning to live with it. To do this, we need to be at the top of our game, in body and mind. So for Men’s Health Week, it’s time for us to give ourselves an MOT and get back on the road.
WHY DO MEN NEED AN MOT?:
-
Early cancer pick-ups fell by a third
-
Macmillan reckons that 50,000 of us have missed a cancer diagnosis during the lockdowns
-
Prostate cancer diagnosis fell by 1/3 – and prostate cancer is not getting rarer, we just haven’t been to our GPs
-
Male GP visits fell more than female visits
-
If there’s something unusual going on with you, use NHS 111 or contact your GP Surgery.
